In this issue of Website Builder News, March 2009...
Some feedback from previous attendees include: 'As a newby, it was very helpful.' 'All good, provided a all-round overview.' and 'I found it to be very informative.' .
Learn how to use our free website builder with a 2 hour free introductory lesson. New trial customers and friends are most welcome. You must RSVP to reserve a seat at one of our session times.
Remember there is extensive help available from our FAQ's which is backed up by phone and email support. Or there is always the option of 1 on 1 training - usually just one hours training (@$100+gst) will give you a jump start in your ability and greatly improve the results for your time and effort.
A big welcome to Mike our new customer support person and additional web designer. Mike has just returned from Turkey and brings with him a wealth of web design and web mastering skills. Please bear with us as he learns the ropes and comes up to speed. Remember we are constantly updating information in our online FAQ.
You might have noticed some changes to the inside area of our website. Most people now use wide screen monitors on their computers, and so we are making use of this by moving all our instructions from the top/bottom of each editor page to the right of each page under the heading tooltips. We hope this will save most people some scrolling. Please read the tooltips from time to time as they can give you alot of helpful advice. For more detailed advice, please read our FAQ or come to one of our free training seminars.
We are rationalising our brand identity at the moment. You may notice some changes on our website in coming months as we separate our website into 2. The URL www.websitebuilder.co.nz will be used for our DIY customers, promoting our free website builder product. The URL www.webwidgets.co.nz will be used for our web designer and reseller markets to promote our content management services. All users will still be able to login from either website. However, if you are referring DIY customers to use our website, please refer them to the www.websitebuilder.co.nz URL.
Did you know that this tax year, the amount you can donate to charity has been raised to the level of your total net profit or individual taxable income. This means that you can donate as much money as you earn each tax year, where as in past years there was a limit on rebates. If you want to quickly reduce profit to avoid provisional tax penalties, then donating money to a registered charity is great way to do this. Make sure your transaction goes through before 31st March 2009 or otherwise you will need to wait another 12 months.
Web Widgets have made the following donations for the end of the 2008/2009 tax year.
If your charitable website currently hosted with Web Widgets has not yet received a change in hosting plan or a cash donation, then please contact us asap. For cash donations, we must have your application received well before the end of this calendar month. There are only 2 weeks left to go.
Web Widgets have also made it free for charitable charities (exluding clubs, churches and sports teams) to host a website with us. This will include free web hosting and free website design as time permits. Read more here:

Here's a selection of our customers DIY websites. Some of those we think have done a great job of designing and creating using the Web Widgets tools.
