New CMS Interface

We have made a major upgrade to our CMS, namely changing the look and feel of the left menu, and considerably changing the way it works. This change makes for more intuitive usage, and makes navigating our CMS much faster. 

The key change is that there is no longer any red, blue or green buttons on the left. Please hover over the "Web Pages" button to see a vertical menu. If you have a multiple level menu, then you can navigate this menu to access those sub pages. The same approach goes for accessing domain names. All other elements should be self explanatory.

Please note that many of our tutorial videos and on line demonstrations will now be out of date. We will review and update those all as soon as possible.

Summer Holiday Hours

We will be closing the office for 3 weeks from Christmas eve until 18th January.

During this period you should ensure your account is up to date. If your website goes offline due to our automated overdue account system, then you would be best to pay by credit card, as this will bring your website back on line within 2 hours automatically. Payments by on line banking and cheques may incur some delay as these will only be processed manually once per week over this period.

If you experience any outages due to other technical reasons, then you can call 021 70 9996 for emergency assistance. You can understand that we might be on the beach and spending time with our families, so please consider that your issue is a real emergency. It might also pay to avoid making far reaching DNS or email changes during the holiday period. If your issue is not an emergency, we will need to charge an after hours support fee. We hope you will enjoy your holidays as much as us and stay off the computers :-)

 

Free Training Sessions NZ Wide

Our free training sessions will teach you how to use our website builder to build your own website or on line shop. The course covers all the basics with some tips on bulk emailer, shopping carts, and search engine optimisation included. We also have advanced courses available for a small fee.

One on One Training / Hourly Web Design Service

One on one training is a great way to enhance your website at a discount price. Sit down with one of our professional web designers for an hour and see what evolves. This is a great way for intermediate users to increase their skills, or for novice users to sped up the process of creating their website. For just $100 your website will be greatly improved. The same fee also applies for SEO or any other professional help you need. One on one available at our Onehunga Auckland office with either Albie or Mike. If you are not based in Auckland, our design staff can still provide the same service over the phone. They will look at your website, and make changes that you will be able to see as you refresh your browser.

 

SEO Tip of the Month - Linking

Have you heard about www.megamart.co.nz? We advertise your products free of charge and you will note that we appear on your web statistics incoming links from time to time. Incoming links are a great way to get higher ranking on search engines. In order to get an incoming link you normally need to ask another website provider to link to you. You cannot get an incoming link by making changes to your own website. Links on your website are called outbound links, and they negatively effect your ranking. Inbound links increase your google ranking. Reciprocal links are better than doing nothing, but only get reciprocal links from businesses in your industry or in your country. Do not respond to irrelevant invites from offshore companies you have never heard of.
