We hope you have had a great holiday and are enjoying the new year.
In this issue of Website Builder News, January 2010...
We have lots more new templates for you to use. Many of our customers have asked for wider templates, and you will now find more of these available in the 950 wide vacinity. These will show nicely on a standard resolution notebook computer. However, when editing your content with these wider templates, you may note that our content editor requires that you scroll to edit the full width of your content, or wraps your content differently. If you click the last icon on the second row of the toolbar, then you can toggle between normal or full screen mode.
We have more templates due for release in the next few weeks and will continue to deliver more new templates over the comming year. If you ever have any problems with new templates or new menus, please bring them to our attention.
See the available templates here, many of the new templates are in the positional templates area.

We are currently working on a version upgrade to the V5 editor. This should fix the issues some people have encountered when pasting code from other software or when editing pages edited with our old V4 editor. These issues have often presented themselves as adding spacing between paragraphs. It is not an easy thing to fix, so please stay tuned to future newsletters for completion of this work.
The first place you should start your search engine optimisation is with the search engines. Consider what phrases people are using, how many people are searching for those phrases, then look at the results. Check to see where you are. Check to see where your competition is. For each individual phrase where you are performing badly, then go to your website and dedicate one new page to that phrase. Include the phrase in the heading and meta title of the page, and in the first paragraph on the page. Waffle on a bit more, for 3-4 paragraphs, and try and drop those same keywords in a couple more times. Do not break up or rephrase the keywords. You need to work your sentence to fit around the key phrase. Then go to your home page, and lower down in the content, perhaps in the 5th paragraph, create a link to your new page using exactly the key phrase as the link text. Review after 30-60 days and see what your new position is for that phrase. Repeat this process separately using new pages and new links for each and every phrase you want to rank highly for.
